While there are general rules to different approaches, in order for therapy to be helpful and meaningful, it must be tailored to the individal's needs. I rely on a variety of techniques and theories to help you achieve your goals. With over 15 years' experience as a counselor, I have the experience and advanced training and resources to help you along your way.
While I'm not currently running a group, I have several groups I can offer to address various issues. Focus groups include: DBT, Sexual Abuse Survivors, Living with Schizophrenia, Mindfulness, Fighting Depression and Building Reslience. More of these groups on the Groups page.
Family and Couples Counseling
Following a systems model, I help improve relationships based on helping involved individuals find common ground and develop an awareness of their relationship as a separate but integral entity within their relationship with each other. Similarly to individual therapy, I help clients understand how their belief system impacts their feelings and actions and to make conscious choices toward clearly defined goals.
